Entertainment

Entertainment is one of the most unique aspects of our work.  

Craig has done everything from multi-screen cinemas and malls

to the largest indoor amusement theme park.  Craig took a stake

in the Indianapolis design world while serving as the Senior Manager

& Architect for the 64 acre zoo including all exhibits.  A further list

Public Sector

Indiana War Memorials – Indianapolis, Indiana


For over seven years, Craig Rapp served as the Architect of Record for a precedent setting, comprehensive living master plan tool for restorations of this unique five city block national historic district.  This masterplan served as a road map of over $14 million worth of phased capital improvements.

  • Complete restoration of Natinal Historic De Pew fountain and University Park
  • Restoration of “ProPatria” sculpture on south steps of the IWM upper-plaza.
  • Exterior limestone façade restoration,
  • Waterproofing and restoration of upper and lower granite plaza with public ADA access.
  • Air conditioning of 90% of public spaces
  • Restoration of interior finishes lobby, vestibule, restrooms and corridors; including significant ornamental painting
  • 5 blocks of perimeter and interior walkway restoration with ADA access points throughout
  • 16 granite pedestals with scrolls describe significant features of the historic district to allow a self-guided tour for visitors
  • Restoration of the sunken gardens, guardian eagles and cenotaph. This is a memorial to James B. Gresham, first American casualty of WW I and all Hoosiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and our country.

 

Indianapolis Zoo – Indianapolis, Indiana


See Entertainment portfolio. Senior. Project Architect for the New Indianapolis ZOO in White River State Park.  As the initial component of WRSP, this 64 acre was designed on the concept on environmental biomes. Design responsibilities included all exhibits within forests, plains and waters and all public entries, walk, plazas, restaurants, rides and water features.  Craig managed 22 specialty consultants for animal holding facilities, exhibitry, educational messages, landscape, & administration facilities.  He managed the project from Design Development through construction.

 

Indianapolis Museum of Art – Indianapolis, Indiana

 

  • Collaborated with design and responsible for Major Renovation of Clowes and waterproofing and re-surfacing of lower level parking garage.
  • Complete  $7.2 million renovation of the Clowes Pavilion
  • Restoration of two historic bridges on the museum grounds; East bridge over the Interurban rail bed, cast iron structure with wood deck.  Raven Garden Bridge – A historic Luten concrete arch bridge
  • Renovation of large art storage facility and significant conservation area for art and artifacts.

 

Indianapolis and Marion County ADA Compliance Assessment – Indianapolis, Indiana

 

  • Performed field surveys, provided facility diagrams, identified deficiencies with estimated remediation costs, , and recommended priorities of improvements for all public properties. Delivered complete masterplan report for Compliance.

 

Indianapolis Public Schools ADA Compliance Assessment – Indianapolis, Indiana

 

  • Performed field surveys, provided diagrams, identified deficiencies with estimated remediation costs and recommended priorities of improvements for all school and support facilities. Delivered complete masterplan report for Compliance.

CWRA provides a wide array of design and supplemental services for Multi-Family developments and single family residences.  

  • Bella Vita Condominiums of Old Naples – Naples, Florida  CWRA served as development and marketing consultants for this  luxury 8 unit condo complex with individual elevators and two swimming pools. Also served as Owner Representatives from initial proforma development through grand opening.
